get one of the big whole house water filters - like this one-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BQUPZ8/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=304485901&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00002N6O0&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0DFS9780KWZD4P0204CR
then find a raquet ball or something else that will "seat" inside the head of the unit- a couple of reccomondations- make sure it is mounted level so that as the bowl fills up, the ball stays near the middle- and you might need to bevel the inside of the head where the ball seats so that it makes a good seal...

Try to find an old dairy moisture trap, or build one out of some 6 or 8" pvs pipe.
