Should I buy this tank?

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1300 gallon plastic tank for $400. The tank has only been used for water, but the owner does not know if it is food grade. Should i take a chance and buy it?

is the tank got a black film on the inside? is it smooth of rough on the inside? what make is it?plastic is hard to clean and keep clean.

smooth translucent plastic inside and out. Tank has a flat bottom and looks very similar to the vertical style tanks you see in many maple catalogs. I don't know what make it is.

If the only thing the tank ever had in it is water I would by it at that price.

I would buy it. Is black poly sprinkler pipe food grade? I use it all the time so just because it doesnt say food grade doesnt mean that it will hurt you in the short term. I was told that porta potties are made out of food grade plastic so go figure.
