Ok, I realize the traditional vacuum setup is a pump that keeps an entire tubing system under vacuum.

With the higher and higher yields that vacuum produces, I've thought about the possibilities of small vacuum "storage" that you'd apply to one or a few trees.

It's vacuum benefits for us in the bucket brigade.

Ponder and get back to me.

me thinks you guys have this maple bug and have to much time on your hands. Your thinking way to much.

If you are going to run a vac pump then why not do all of your taps or atleast more than one or two? It's not like you can turn the vac on, build the vac up and shut it off because the tree gives off CO2 and it will cause the vac to be lost in a hurry.
So I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do
