Does anyone know off hand what regs. apply to selling bottled syrup on line?
I assume it's regulated since everything else is but by who?

Individual states and such where you are selling it.

Woody, check with the Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association. I'm sure they are up to date on the regulations

I would agree, check w/ WMSPA and w/ St of Wisconsin. I would assume you would have to have a st lic. kitchen if you shipped it out. We are a small operation and we do advertise on the internet, but only sell locally at our sugar shack, meeting customer there at our convienience; hence "Farm Gate" sales.

Woody,go to the nearest farm by you and ask them for their inspectors name and phone number.The inspector will be able to help and answer any questions that you have.Or any place that cooks and sells food should know also

Thanks for the help. I found out the guys name and will check it out next week. I suppose it's like selling eggs....if your not licensed then it's from your door only but I'll check.
