Are there any Traders who use sauce-type glass bottles for their syrup? Like these:

I'm looking at using something non-traditional, but I'm afraid that bottles like these evoke thoughts of the products that you would normally find in them: ketchup, hot sauce, vinaigrette, dressing, etc. I'd rather not have people looking at a bottle of syrup and wonder why they're thinking about wing sauce.

So, for anybody who uses these (if there are any of you), what's the feedback? And do you have any pics of some full of syrup?

They would be easy to pur out of. With a maple label on them instead of a sauce label they would look okay. Keyword here is that your wanting to do something different.

Clan,

Here's a pic of one of the type of bottles you were asking about. This is not my syrup, but is from a friend of my wife's family that has a fair sized operation. He uses a lot of this style bottle I believe.

I use the qt size like Corey shows and they are popular. I add a NY maple label, our own label, and a grade label on the lid. They are reasonably priced from Fillmore Container. Reusable too with a good cleaning so less trash is generated.

Clan, I always thought the salad dressing type bottles looked pretty good. I've always been a fan of the F type and cone top cans too, but they get pretty pricey.

the 2 one the right look like typical Maple Syrup bottles Qt and Pint. We use this type and have purhcase thru Andersons in Cumberland, Wi. The small neck bottles make for much easier pouring. Much better then typical canning jars.
