Do any of you guys know exactly how much oil an SP-22 is supposed to hold? Having trouble seeing it in the sight gage. Theron

Thanks guys- I ended up putting about 2 and a third gallons so that sounds something near right. The sight tube had a film on the inside that I couldnt see through. Theron

Sounds right about what I do-

Anyone ever change that site tube out? Mine could use a changing also. What kind of tubing is it?

Do the SP 22 vacuum pumps work well? I found one for sale that I am considering buying, what are they worth? Anything to watch for?

They're almost bullet proof and use very little oil. I've never seen one where you could actually see through the sight tube! A faint shadow for the oil level is about all you get.

Put a piece of clear plastic tubing from the hardware store on my SP-11. Have run it a couple years now and it is still crystal clear and easy to see the oil level.
