Never see this before, but in my sugarbush there are two separate maple trees that grew together and formed one tree (see pictures).
Both trunks appear to be healthy and I have tapped the larger one for a few years.

That is pretty cool. I heard of nurseries graffing fruit trees together I guess that is nature graffing at it's best.

That's awesome, seen alot of different tree conglomerations, but nothing like that.

I have some weird trees also. One has two maple trees and a cork elm coming out of the ground all at one base. They look like they are joined untill you look hard at them. The two maples produce a lot of sap also. I also have a maple and a birch and a cedar and a hemlock all come out of the ground together. The way they are formed I can't cut out the other trees to leave the maple grow by it' self.

I have a couple of maples that are forked real close to the ground and one of the forks is a maple and the other for is something else. One of them actually has 3 forks with 2 of the forks being maple and the third fork is a poplar.
