Vt Galv syrup barrels.

I heard today VT won't let you use Galv. barrels in a year or so!!! Any one else hear this......

You will not be able to wholesale syrup to packers in galv. barrels in 2012

It actually goes further than that, You will not legally be able to store syrup in them at all.

What you can do is cut the top of the drum, put in a CDL plastic ring and then use the CDL bag liners

That is a good idea, but you will need to make sure that you get rid of any sharp edges. I personally like the CDL health barrel

Makes sense if you can't boil in a Galv. pan how could you let it sit in the same metal for months at a time.
