Looking for advice on an economical submersible pump I can use to move my sap about thirty feet, uphill head less than 6 feet, about 5gpm.

Thanks! :)

a 12v boat bilge pump would work with a car battery... 30 feet might slow down the GPH considerably depending on the pump. You could use a battery charger or something similar to power it instead of a battery.

it is a cheap option anyhow.

John,
I'm not sure by your reply if you are looking at 30' vertical and 6 feet horizontal or the other way around. If you want a pump to go 30 feet high
I don't think you will find that sump pumps will work for you if you want to over come 30 feet of head. Most sump pumps are designed economical because they are only meant to pump 8-10 feet like out of a basement. There might be a sump pump out there that will pump that high but I think it will be alot of $. If you want to go 6 feet vertical then you can get a good sump pump for less than $ 50.00 Try e-bay.

Wondering why such a low GPM also. If your looking for a low gph and able to push 6-8 ft in height try a fountain pump found at the local nursery's.

30 feet horizontal, less than 6 vertical.

Low gpm due to the fact I don't have much to move, no hurry.

Just want save dragging buckets thru the creek and uphill :)

Thanks!

Sounds like a bilge pump will do the trick... 12 V DC, can run it off a car battery, 4-wheeler, or one of those rechargable battery boosters. Grainger has a bunch of different sizes and prices that will lift 15 feet or more.
