When finished boiling today, tried to bake some bread in the hot arch. Not bad
but should have kept away from side bricks to prevent burning, also need to
find what that temperature is. I never baked bread before, not even in the house.

That is GENIUS!

My gosh, during the season we could be cooking up the following evening's dinner every night with just the heat left from the boil. Or just bake goodies for selling in the shack!

Ooooo! Pizza!!!

The temperature looks perfect! For a good crispy crust a beehive stone oven is usually around 450 deg or so. I think you might just want to cut down the amount of loaves in there to maybe 4 or so. They need room to breathe.

Sounds like a good idea but is this really a hoax? That firebox looks awfull clean to have just finished boiling.

That is no hoax. Wish I could show you the underside of the pans, now that is black. The weather man said freezing last night and sun today, got neither
and no sap today.
