Sugar content has dropped from a dissapointing 1.75% to less than 1.25%. I'm spending too much time and burning too much wood to boil water and make road tar. Better luck next year.

Same story here on the west side of the hill. Last year I ran out of wood the first week in April, so I put up more wood for this year. I'll be out of wood by Saturday but with half as much syrup to show for it.

Sorry to hear about the low sugar content. It must have all moved north, I have boiled anything less than 3% and it is now up to 3.3%.
