this may be the next step in controling vacuum and saving $$ and pumps

picture your pump starting up and running all day every day for 6 weeks, hard on the pump when it's running flat out, and it does, you install a vacuum regulator o hold your 15-20 "hg or what ever your pump can do, well lets say it's a light sap day, your pump is running for nothing and your regulator is letting in air ... for what? why not slow the motor down to hold the vacuum instead of running full when not needed.. and it will automatically varythe speed depending on the vacuum load(what you set the "hg) sound good huh? they are doing it in the dairy industry... we do it in HVAC with pumps and blowers.

Now thats a swell idea :!: Now you just have to figure out how too do it for those with a gas engine. They do have a simular deal on generators when you take the AC load off but my feelings are the engine is supposed to run at a rated RPM for proper cooling. Why increase the block temp and add were and tear that way? We have that style drive at the farm like you said before but $$$$$$$$$$$$ for it and the controller.

Keep the wheels turnin brother Mapleman :!:
