filter rack

I am going to make a filter rack for a 20 x 20 canner and am wondering if i can use a sheet of 1/4 perforated ss i have, im not sure its big enough for the syrup to go thru. Any thoughts if this would work. Thanks as always Ian

1/4 inch thick or 1/4 inch perforations. Your gonna still need a filter on it to get out the sugarsand and impurities. Either the wool or synthetic ones work great. I would use prefilters also you will get more use between cleanings of the filter that way.

Looks like 1/4" holes to me.
