I made a batch of candy this morning using a quart of syrup, my molds only needed about half that amount to fill them. My question is can I add water to the left over and start again? or how can I reuse the leftovers?
thanks

Could you not pour it in a cake pan and then as it hardens scour it with a knife to break it up later into peices.

Scrap those leftover into a food processor to break it up into a powder. Then use it like you would sugar. I save all my scrapings for this.

Put it right back into the evaporator next time you boil. Or like other say make sugar out of it.

I had about a little over a cup of sugar, I added a cup of water and reheated it it started to boil at 218 and seems to have worked out fine on the next batch of sugar.

Can you use a Grade B syrup to make it? I want to make some and that's what I have left.
Also what do you use for a coating on the soft candy?
