Anybody's trees's budding yet?some of mine are.I have never seen them bud this early..I'm on the NY/Ma border 30 miles south east of albany NY

You're not far from me. What maples reds or sugars? Reds have buds almost all year while dormant but very small. However they have really swelled of late. sugars only show a little signs of buds. I think the season is over either way. The sap doesn't look good and i think it would make commercial. I usually don't make commercial syrup but this year i might just because of how bad of production i had.

Ya these are sugar maples that are budding,I have never seen them bud this early.I gathered twice tuesday only 6-7 hours inbetween gatherings and my one stock tank where those tree's are was so milky you could not see the bottom.I don't think its going to be a good season either.Maple man do you know ashely lasher or her father porky?there in clinton cornres to??
