I got about 3 gallons yesterday out of my 5 taps yesterday. Today about 1.5 gallons. it taste sweet but is cloudy. I can see buds on alot of trees but not on the ones that have taps.I put my taps in on Feb.6 so today makes 6 weeks. I think I did pretty good for the first year. I made about 2.5 gallons some amber some dark. I made the amber with turkey fryers and the dark with 55 gallon drum arch. I have attached a picture of the setup. I have a busy summer getting ready for next year. I want to have 30 taps in next year.The people on the this site have been alot of help.

Butch, I am 2 counties south of you, Pickaway. I pulled out everything Monday, sap late Sat. and Sunday was going brown fast with temps what they are. hardly any sap Sunday. Also buds starting to swell on trees back there. Cleaning up now, got 28 gallons of syrup made even with weather not cooperating a lot this year. Figure enough fun this year, have to start getting ready for next year in a few months.
