I have all kinds of niter for sale. I know alot of you out there don't have much... here is your chance.. Get it while you can... I have several grades of niter... 1st prefilter niter (highly sought after) through 3rd prefilter niter.
Also if any Traders out there dabble in the stock market.. I would recommend large investments in Orlon, and Felt..................

My niter has been totally different this season. It gets very hard and I have to clean the pans to get rid of it. Mac, if you need a back up supply i have some that scales off whewn i clean it. Since I clean with white vinegar, you might want to sell it for salad toppings, high mineral supplimental salad topping that is.

I'll throw in some Niter Cakes with grade A DE included!! various levels of niter available.
My 15.5 gallon batch for the keg today had to be filtered through 4 sets of papers so there is plenty niter for the taking !!!

It looks like we should be saving our niter.

OH CRAP i just read the chemical make up and will be wearing rubber gloves when handling niter. I didn't realize the potential side effects especially the Saltpeter. :o

You're probably safe (at least on this subject) Haynes. Niter is mostly calcium malate, not potassium nitrate. http://www.uvm.edu/~pmrc/scale.pdf The calcium derives from the soil. Malate comes from malic acid...an organic acid which gives apples their tartness....it is also found in maple sap.
Plants tend not to give up nitrogen so easily. :)

There must be some marketable way to unload niter. Gardeners might buy it up as a soil supplement. or if we could get it into capsules......

Soil supplement is the only use I'd think OK, maybe even good. Do you have enough to bag it in 20# bags and sell a truckload?

Yes, I think it would be good to spread it in my garden.

Well you could dry it and use it in your sand blaster. Could use it to polish metal by making it into a paste and use a buffer. Brush your teeth with it once a week and your plaque will be gone.
