Program for tapping state land in VT?

I have been hearing that VT is in the process of laying out a program for tapping on state owned land, has anyone heard this? I have emailed the gov. douglas but no response has been made. Anyone have any info?

If such a program exist I be in great shape as my 10 acres sits inside of 675 acres fo state game management land and there is a lot of maple that are very accessible for me. I would really have to think about getting not only a larger evaporator but also about gettting serious about maple production as I am a hobby guy right now.

Too bad that they cut about 10,000 taps worth of maple out of the state land that my bush is adjacent to.

I emailed Mr. Marsh. He got back to me saying that he signed an aggreement with the governor and that they hope to get details on how this will work by end of may. Great News!
