I take it when the sap freezes in the tubes and can't flow, there's no sap trying to get out of the trees either, eh? Any problems using plastic 5 gallon drywall compound buckets to move sap from the barrels to the boiler?

I dont know, but I wouldnt use them. I wuld get a couple from a bakery or soome food place.
