Yesterday when I looked at a couple of buckets, there was a small amount of what looked to be an oily scheen at the top of the sap in a couple of them. I only used hot, hot water to rinse out my buckets and taps so not sure what is causing. Any ideas? Should I dump out and rinse again and start over? Thanks.

it's probably something as simple as that. and may not be a problem either. if your worried just rinse out those buckets with hot hot water.
