We got 70 taps in right around our house. We only did 70 last year too, but we hope we picked better trees this year. We put a 5-gallon bucket on each tree.
This year, we are going to try not to spend any money at all, and so far, so good. All re-use from last year.
I sold out of what little we made last year in about a week, selling on Etsy. I sure wish we could make more, but we are slowly learning.
We'd hoped to have a roof at least this year to boil under, but nope! Darn it.
Can I ask a favor of those of you in the Monadnock region? I am making compost tea to sell at the farmer's markets this growing season. I would love to incorporate local minerals into the mix with my aged barnyard manure. Would anyone be willing to save me your paper filters? I'll give you some Minnie's Magic in exchange.
