We decided to sweeten the pans a bit today. The temps were good, the sap is perfect, and we needed to check our equipment.
We had a great first boil. Only about 2 hours, but we have officially started again now.
We only boiled about 40 gallons of sap. That won't come out as syrup until later in the week, but we got started!
