Boiliing used spiles to kill bacteria

I boiled 6 blue plastic spiles last night to see if they would stand the heat. I boiled them for about 15 minutes. The didnt get soft at all.

This looks like a good option for people who want to replace their spiles to avoid bacteria.

I would also use a disenfectant bath on them. I know the spiles are cheap but that much plastic must add up after awhile also.
