By the end of last week the trees were waking up and the sap was running. Now everything's frozen dry again (sigh). The 5-day forecast doesn't look promising until the end of the week.

Seems like we're going to have TWO sugaring seasons this year. Last week's and the one hopefully starting by Friday....

I knew that groundhawg on the lawn last summer was trouble. I let him be since he was the first one I had ever seen. He probbably won't show up this coming summer.

Global what??? I tought AL said the season was going to be earlyer ever year. This is kinda like a correction in the stock market, just for Maple sap run.

Myself I don't want the season earlier every year.. this will do just fine, I'll be ready for a run this weekend... BRING IT ON !!!
