I was at TSC last night, and within the last couple days they have set up a display of all sorts of cans and bottles of maple syrup.I didn't have my glasses
but I think it is 519 area code and town could be Forona? or something like that. Is western Ontario already producing syrup? Still dead winter here in
easten Ontario -30 here today wind chill. And their syrup is not cheap $22 1 ltr metal can. But they did sell one while I was there. Quebec usually sells
about $12-$14 for that amount.

Right now the 740ml cans sell for $6.95 up to $9.95 depending on the store. The $6:95 is usually when you buy 8 cans.

I haven't heard but they're generally a couple weeks ahead of us in Eastern Ontario. They could have gotten tapped to get last week's warm spell. Chances are it's last year's syrup. The OMFRA update we got last week didn't mention anyone being tapped yet.

540 is correct. DUH since I ate all my syrup expecting new stuff by now did not have a can to look at. I am waiting on you guys to say SAPS RUNNING so I can expect that maybe mine will run also.

Ennis, yes I suspect last year's syrup too. Ken, we sure will let you know
when the sap is running, my guess, St. Paddy's day. Meanwhile , taking
advantage of the hard bottom in the swamp to get wood out.

I was at the TSC in Alliston today, they have the same display of maple syrup. In this area $20 a liter seems to be the normal price.
