Pan inlet from floatbox??

setting up a float box on a front pan which feeds from the raised flue pan, but i am not sure how far off the bottom i need to place the inlet on the flat front pan. it will be a 1" feed. the outlet on the flue pan is something like 6" or so.

The heigth would be the same as the rear pan , if the center of the 1" pipe is six inches high , the center of the hole in the float box would be six inches.

maybe i confused you, i need to know the inlet height on the front pan
