Installed about 225 taps on gravity tubing over the past weekend and one afternoon this week, just before the thaw. Collected ~100 gals sap last night from one bush and another ~120 gals today from 2nd bush. With headlamps, my son and I installed ~75 taps on buckets last night.
Earlier today temps reached ~55F, and now it's <25F. Hoping to find another 100-200 gals in the morning.

Looks like I might get a couple hours of much needed extra sleep the next day or two! Looks like maybe a good run Friday/Saturday?
Had the opportunity to run most of the last couple days' runs through a CDL 125 RO. Wow, what a difference! Just one run through took from ~2% to ~5.5%. A second time through, even better.

Collected ~400 gallons last night. Wasn't going to do too many buckets this year, but glad I did. Seems that my 5/16" alum spouts ran better and longer than my 5/16" plastic health spouts. Overall I'm disappointed in the lack of production from my trees on gravity tubing.
Looks like it's time to start cleaning up...

Greg,
Where are you located? I was disappointed in the flows I got this year also. It just seemed that the tempertures just weren't cooperating.

I'm in western NY, a couple miles from exit 45 of the NYS Thruway.
Finished my last batch yesterday, I think. Made 5+ gals of Grade C.
