I havent made syrup in about 10 years before that I made it for 10 or 12 years. I couldnt find my equipment so I ordered some new stuff. I used to use cinder blocks and a wash tub then a 55 gal drum and wash tub the wash tub has holes now and no wood cut so I am trying a turkey fryer might find a steam pan instead of a stock pot. For next year i plan on building a drum. I dont understand the whole arch concept can someone explain its function and the placement of the pan related to the arch. If someone has a cutaway view it would be great. I work for a heating contractor so the barrel might well have an oilburner on it. your help would be great.
