dark dark syrup

the syrup i made a couple days ago was dark and when i say dark i mean motor oil dark. i boiled the sap after i collected. tastes graetwhen i hold it to the light i can see through it.

First of, love the pics. What a great way to start out sugarin. How long was your sap sitting before you boiled it? Were you back mixing alot vs finishing in small batches?
