I was fishing the net for parts to make a vacuum tank check valve and found this site Plumbing Supply.com. they have Flood Guards they are for floor drains. You can take a section of 4" PVC and put a inlet fitting on the bottom (from the releaser) and insert this at the top of the PVC tank and screw in the fitting to the vacuum pump. You use the threaded stand pipe kind so you can thread into it with suction hose from the vac pump.
They tighten into the inside diameter of the PVC and become water/air tight by screwing down the coller. You could use a 3ft section of pipe and even put a drain in the side.
