Will my pan work

I just bought a 2x4 stainless pan that came off a 4x12 rig, Iam building a arch out of a 275 gallon drum, my question is the pan only has one channel in it, will I be able to feed sap in from one end and draw off the other side? Should it have more channels?

it will work just fine, i ran a 2 section pan last year and made good syrup, it doesnt matter how many sections you have they will all make syrup aslong as there is sap in the pan and heat under it ( and a constant flow of sap coming from one side and your drawing off on the other)
