I haven't a clue if this is worth anything and I'm hoping someone here may help out. I may be able to purchase one relatively cheap (under a $100) and would appreciate any thoughts or advice for a back yard system of 200 or so taps. Is this type/size of vac usable?

Thanks in advance for your time....

Well the Manf. says they pull 14.1 CFM at 1x10-4 Torr and they list new for $1,175.00 so I dont think you will be upset. They are a oil type and are used to evacuate refrideration units and can run all day long without regulated air so why not.
If you hook it up and it creates vacuum in the releaser your good to go.

Do you run with a releaser or tank?

Jerry---Like Haynes said, I don't think you can go wrong. Team that up with a Lapierre hobby releaser and you'l be amazed at the amount of sap you'll produce!

Thanks for the info, HFP. It's a big help.
My system runs pretty much on gravity other then a small rv pump to draw and move sap around the shack. This is new to me so am looking for advise on these items and, of course, this is the place to come and ask.
