Does anyone know if there's a 5/16" spout available for buckets? One with a hook to hang the bucket.

Maple Pro / CDL has plastic 5/16 bucket spouts with hooks. I haven't used any so I can't attest to their durability or usefulness. I have used the Leader 5/16 cast alum bucket taps which work pretty well, but are pricey.

You can use a 5/16 spout for tubing. Just use a 2 inch piece of tubing on the spout and you can buy metal hooks that were orignally made for metal spouts ( 7/16).

you can get the hoockless spouts and slip a bucket hook over it that were made for the older rolled aluminum spouts,

I have converted over completely to Leader 5/16" metal spouts. It's a straight spout with a lip--no hook. Works great. I drill a hole through the side of a 5 gal plastic bucket near the top. Hook the bucket right onto the spout, leaving the bucket lid lightly pushed on.

I tried the plastic 5/16" spouts meant for tubing. Did all sorts of experiments heating and bending the short nipple. The nipple just doesn't work too well for a hole in the side of the bucket. If you put a short piece of tubing on, you can't get it and the nipple through the hole. I never tried the idea of attaching a hook to the plastic spout, then using a short piece of tubing--fun to try.
