Thanks to a lot of wonderful photos from great fabricators on this site. I built a few things to help my boil rate for this year. a new wood fired half 275 gallon arch. . http://i.pbase.com/o6/98/18098/1/108512956.ugs8Ke2X.arch00039.jpg

Yes but they should be visible without clicking the link.. They were embedded into the post. Well no one ever declared me to be the sharpest knife in the drawer anyhow.

ericjeeper, you did it exactly like you're supposed, you ARE a sharp knife. Good job there. Be sure to brick the arch before firing or it will not last long. With the bricking it will last a very long time. You might want to try keeping the brick close to the bottom of the pans until back near the stack. Commercial rigs only have about 1/2" to 3/4" space, forcing the heat upward.

Maple flats.,. On the top of the arch I am planning on layering it with ash out of my boiler.. Gawd knows I have a plenty of ash laying around.. I do not have a cheap source for bricks.. This time of year any laying around on an old homesite would be frozen in place.. But I do plan on bricking the firebox if I can find some cheap and soon. If I find enough I will brick the arch too.. I have 4.5 inches at the front tapering down towards the flue to 5.5. I did this to be able to oval out a 6 inch flue to shove in the back.

I had some trouble getting the images to show as well last night. If I right clicked on the picture and selected the "save image location" (or "save image URL", depending on what browser you use) then I could paste that address into a new window and view the image just fine. I even checked the code in eric's post for a typo, but no, it was all correct. Then, all of a sudden, the images decided to show up. I have no idea what happened.
