Can someone please explain which is better wool or Orlon filters, and is one safer than the other on the food grade level? None of the past post have any clear explanation for this, I am not clear which I should use for filtering or am I just worrying for nothing?

Either will do a good job. I prefer the Orlon because of the Moth issue. I always put in 6 paper pre filters and just keep pulling them one at a time when they plug. Dumping it ino the next. When I get to number 6 I change out the orlon for a clean one and 6 more paper pre's. The paper pre's can also be washed with clear water and used many more times.
