I have looked at diagrams of 2 different style ladders. One simply has stars at the low points and then runs 5/16lines up to an elevated main line. Another style T's the main line at the lower level and runs one main line to the star(s) and another main line (from the split) 3 feet above the ladder and ties it in. What's that additional mainline for that goes 3 feet above and which way is better? Thanks.

I believe the second is for better vacuum transfer. Not sure though.

the pipe design is for more taps, that i know of, and better vac transfer too. the star design is each lat can handle 10 taps so for 120 taps u would need 4 stars 2 on bottom 2 on the top line(example). if im correct, It really depends on howmany taps you have to lift.
