I was hoping someone could help me with a maple cream machine, I would like some plan on how to make one, or buy a used one.

I have seen homemade ones that were a gear or pulley reduction to turn a tub or large bowl at about 40-50 rpm. On top they had an arm with typically 2 paddles attached, one to scrape the outer wall of the tub and one for the middle. I think most were designed so movable clamps are used to get the perfect arrangement. The paddles I saw were usually wooden, made like a spatula for the inner one and a spatula to conform to the inner tub wall for the other, they were tipped to move the product towards the other paddle as the tub turned. Clear as mud?

Look in the producers manual, there's one in there in the candy and cream section .

You can get a copy from any maple supplier or most associations will sell them

This is just one option.

Just remembered you could contact tmccrumm on this site and he has plans for a homemade cream machine he is willing to send.
Do a search on his screen name and you can see his post about it.

Wasn't Tom just saying this weekend how he still gets requests for his cream machine plans?

gi53, check out this post (http://www.mapletrader.com/community/showpost.php?p=56517&postcount=16) of Tom's from a few months ago. He describes his homemade cream machine, and there's contact info to get in touch with him. Good luck!

I talked to a friend today, He made cream with a electric ice cream freezer and let it run for about 2 hours. He said it came out perfect.

The President of our association Gary B. built his own gear type machine for about $800 and change. Very nice machine.

I built a Cream Machine based on Leaders design with a gear reduction motor. I found a motor on ebay for $150. the entire machine ended up costing around $250. works great.
