I believe that the average weight of One gallon of syrup is 11 lbs, and my question is in making syrup how many ponds of sugar should I get from one gallon of syrup. Just trying to figure out how much I need to make cotton candy. I have the mixture amounts for the cotton candy just trying to figure how much syrup I need to convert to sugar.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks

I'v searched all over can't find it. 8lbs sounds like a lot to me. I kinda want to know now myself???
If your syrup is a solid 67% you will get about 7.75 pounds of candy and about 7.25 pounds of dry granulated sugar per gallon in my experience.

I would agree with WMF, 7.75lbs. per gallon. However I estimate 7.5 for candy and 8 lbs. per gallon when making cream . When making candy there is more loss than cream on the equipment. Even though when I clean up the candy machine I will put it back into the next batch But if you were to make only one batch you will lose some
