is a gas ring pump like a liquid but instead of water it use air to make seal

did you just buy one or saw a listing and are wondering what it is?
if you saw a listing i would gues that the guy meant a gas powered ring pump.
but idk

Never hurd of a gas ring pump. (dont know much about vac pumps) but im thinking the guy ment a liquid ring pump;.

I would still reccommend a liquid ring positive displacement pump and I prefer a oil cooled vaccum pump for sugaring, but you can use what works for you.
just my opinion!

If it is a "gast" pump that is the brand name.
