I just recently opened a bottle of syrup that has an off flavor, I think it comes from the cleaner I used, not rinsing it enough because not all my syrup tasted like this, could I reboil this out by adding new sap this spring or could I make sugar out of it anyting to get rid of the taste.I really don't want to throw it away. Thanks for any info.

Making sugar out of it would probably be the best thing to do with it.

If you have enough sell it as grade c. I wouldn't sell it as retail anything if the off flavor comes from a cleaner.

If you boil it again it just concentrates it more, that's why using cleaners limited as much as possible, Do you think it was pan cleaner ?

does it taste like it is burnt? If so, it oxidized since the plastic jugs actually "breathe" a little oxygen over time. Oxidized syrup can make decent candy, otherswise sell it as "C" grade. We switched to coated jugs this year and have had no problem.
