went to lapirre today bought a tubing tool and a twist tye tool, talked to matt about a ro he has a 250 gph one he said would sell for really good proce today really thinkin about getting it. looks like a nice r/o he said it works up to 2000 taps and ill be around the range of that so i should be all good hopin for a nice x mas present HAha..

im trying to talk my dad to fork out the money its a really nice unit and they want the same price for a 50 galper hour at leader and this ones 250 hopin for a GREAT x mas :D haha

my boils will be crazy long without outone ill be having about 800 on vac this year and and about 600 on gravity so for my little 2x6 it would be crazy without one id never shut hte evaporator off.

Ok, let's say you make 300 gallon of syrup from 1200 taps on vaccum which is more than reasonable. At the current price of $ 4.00 @ lb, that translates into $ 45 per gallon or $ 13,500 just if you wholesale/bulk it all.

I don't know how good your vaccum setup is as you are younger and I don't many any offense by that, but if it is real good, you might produce 400, 500 or 600 gallon of syrup and well, you get the picture. Worst case, you produce 150 gallon of syrup off of 1200 taps, you pay it back in one year. Tell that to ol' dad and good luck.

400 gallon = $ 18,000
500 gallon = $ 22,500

even with only800 taps pn vacc and 600 on gravity i could make 400 gal of syrup sorry im new to vac and stuff but i gota bb4 and i dont know if u guys know mike parker but he has 20000 taps and he helps out alot and my dad. but how much can you make on 1200 to 1500 taps ?

yeah i just started with tubing last year and goin to prob have 450-600 on vac deffinly just went toe the sugarbush today mike looked at it and he said 400-500 taps on it and he said i can easly make over 100 gals but i have a 200 tap bush and i have a other vacumme pump and i want to put vac on that but idk if ill have the exra money for releaserbut im going to get hte bigger bush done first that has about 4 to 500 taps maybe more and then if i got the extra money ill set up vac at the 200 tap bush then the rest will be on gravity and ill hopfuly will be getting that r/o my dad really was interested in it i just dont know if hes gunna get it yet or not but deffinly soon.but what do u guys think how much syrup i could make if i had about lets say 500 taps on vac cause i dont really knolw how many taps are there yet but ill just say 500 and if i dont set up that other bush with vac and if i do how much i know its probably really hard to determen how much but let me know what you guys think thanks

yeah last year i had 1000 taps and had the worse year ever and only mad 60 gals but hoping for a good year this year and il have vac on most of the taps and a 1500taps with a r/o is possible but probably by next year ill get a new one but deffinly need a r/o this year

If you vaccuum and tubing setup is half right, you should be able to make 300 gallon which would pay for that RO machine and plenty to spare. Get in touch with Jerry(802 maple). He is bulk syrup buyer for maple grove and he will probably take everything off your hands.

Alright well my vac system should be set up all right and there between 4 and 600 taps at this place im doing now and vac deffinly going there and ill prob set up vac at this other bush that has 227 taps on it but theres more taps there i just dont know if ill have the time to put more taps on that this season or not. but thanks
