Stupid question I guess, but I thought I would ask anyway. When using the Leader end of line rings or whatever they are called :?: , doesn't the sap have to flow uphill and clear around the tree from the tap that comes off of the end of line rings or is there a better technique??

Thanks!

I saw them at Proctor on our tour, and I believe that was asked ,,,,um,I think they said becouse it was on vacum it didn't matter, but on gravity ,,,,I think they said it did matter. But I don't remember how to overcome it. Maybe you put in a 'y' and go off the 'y' to the tap and off the 'y' around the tree through the ring.?

I turn them the other way so it is level around the tree and the sap will push it off the drop line and there is also some pressure from the tree to push it to. I asked last year at bascoms open house when they were using them. hope this helps.
