New to the vacuum thing in 2008 and now I am addicted. I have a little 3/4 horse dairy pump that I had on about 800 taps and managed to get it running 18" but it dropped off everytime the pump got hot or I had the smallest leak. I have a change to get a pump with a 3 horse electic motor and put it on the 800 taps (main bush) I have. I know it will only run about 19" but will it hold it better than the little 3/4 horse I had last year? I will put the little one in another area if I can pick up a hobby releaser or another vac tank. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

The bigger pump will suck more cubic feet per minute than the small one allowing it to maintain the vacuum level easier than the small pump to overcome losses because of small leaks. Go for it you will be glad that you did.
