Where's a local source for refractory cement? I went looking at Lowe's tonight and they didn't carry any. Is there a certain kind of cement that should be used? Wasn't sure if there was a minimum recommended heat requirement.
Thanks

I went to a ready mix company for my high temp cement. I picked up a 40 gal pail and it was more than enough for my 2x8.

I got mine at Corriveau Routhier in Concord where I bought my fire bricks. It was a lot less expensive than Bascom's and I think the local True Value Hardware store had it for even less. It has been a few years since I needed any and haven't looked for it lately. Do a search for masonry supplies in your area and see what you can find.
