I found this digital refractometer on ebay. It is cheaper than the MISCO refractometers that are sold on the Maple Trader website and it also displays sample temperature. The HANNA refractometer has a range of 0% to 85% with an accuracy of ± 0.2 %. The MISCO refractometer has a range of 0% to 56% with an accuracy of ± 0.1 brix. Is the HANNA as good as the MISCO? Has anyone used the HANNA for syrup? I am thinking about getting one but not sure about the accuracy or reliability. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Kevin
Two year warranty just expired when you got out the dremel. Just joking but it seems like a good price

I emailed the Ebay seller to find out what the difference was between the HI 96801 and the HI 86801 because they have an ad for both and it's a typo they said. The HI 86801 is the correct number and they told me that it would be a 4 week delivery time because they are back ordered on them now. This instrument is very reasonably priced compared to others of this type.

Dear 99rado53,
The 86801 is a typo, it should be 96801.
BTW, the item is on back order up to 4 weeks.
