Is it possible to relieve the tension on your mainline wire if you used the wire ratchet tensioners found at TSC I got my line tight as a fiddle but now have to drop the one end about 2inches. I used the white handle to ratchet it down but can't figure out how to releive the tension without losing a finger!

VERY CAREFULLY!! We use the ones from TSC also and they work well but you have to take your time when releasing them

Jim-how do you do it. I bent the back of the last one I tried to the extent that it won't ratchet tight anymore. do you use the tool?

The catch on the back is spring loaded. Just use the tool ,tighten up just enough to lift the spring loaded latch and back it off one click. Reset the tool tighten enough to lift spring and lift latch and back off one click.Reset the tool and etc.
This is how we do it,works for us
Hope this helps
