Looks like a winner to me SM, have you run any major amount of tubing with it yet??? I am sure you are going to like it..

If I may be so bold as to suggest that you put a wing nut on the adjusting screw for the vice clamps. It will allow you to lock them to the size that you are clamping. This way you don't have to keep adjusting them.

Like fred said- After you open and close the vice grips several times the set screws will move and your adjustment for tubing size will be off-If you planned on staying with the rigid poly/semi-rigid then you could use lock tite and do the same. Don't know too many that are using the old PVC now=stretches way too much.

Yup and even with a wing nut on them you need to snub it right up!!
As they say the right tool for the job makes a world of difference!!!
And those tools are great!!
Bring me back some Spanish Fly!!!
And as they say in Ole Meteco ......... AMF.

To late 3%=I'm already back. I know the sun is not out today so the solar panel is shut down.

i may add several more spings to the tool. some on the vise grip ends where the wing nut may be. scratch now i get the wing nut idea. i will add the springs to the sliding bar point it will help me keep the tool spaced right.

i traded a guy syrup for a tool this week. an older one. instead of wing nuts there are little springs on the visegrip screws that work great at holding the grips from moving
