Has anyone heard any current prices per tap to have someone professionally install tubing systems and does anyone know any reputable people personally that do that type of work? Theron

Glen Goodrich contracts the installation of tubing. Contact Goodrich"s Maple Farm Cabot, Vt 1-800-639-1854 Glen does a very good intallation. I have heard that he will travel to your area.

I think it is around 10-12 dollars a tap, that includes all materials for the bush except the tank.

Just out of curiosity, any of you guys know what it ends up costing per tap to put it in yourself? Not timewise, just materials.

I put up my tubing for $2.50 per tap. I have all my taps (200) within 400' of my sugar house. I did it for not much money but all the trees are close so I didn't use much tubing or mainline. I also got a vac pump out of a farm for free and bought a bender releaser for $20, so I may not be a good example of what it will cost. I will say it is fun to run tubing and start planing to add more taps before you even finish running your first bunch of taps.

We just purchased tubing for another bush and when it was all said and done the tally was 4bucks a tap for everything to install the tubing properly. No vacuum or tanks included.
