I just bought this Nordic60 to work in the bush. It is 1987, 496 cc. I can't seem
to find what oil mix to use or best oil for mix. Right now to get it going using
my chainsaw gas. Does anyone own one like this, looks like a good work machine. Thanks.

I run conventional oil at about 32:1, and good synthetics at about 40:1, or 50:1. i'd reccomend a good synthetic like klotz or amsoil.

My old ski doo ran the same mix as my stihl saws 50/1 but with all the alcohol in the gas you might want to run a 40/1 mix thats what the stihl dealers told me to start doing.

I run the Amsoil Dominator oil in everything I own (dirt bike, chain saws, weed whacker, and etc) at a 50:1 mixture. I contacted Amsoil's tech dept. and they said the oil is designed to run at 50:1 regardless of what you run it in. I've been doing this for about 3-4 years and never had problems.

I used to have vintage a '70 Olympique and a '71 Nordique growing up and I'm pretty sure I used to run 32:1 using a conventional 2-stroke oil.
