I am looking for scalable pictures and designs from anyone who has built or bought a power draft. I am also interested in determining how many CFM I will need to supply a 2x8 raised flue arch. I don't want to under estimate nor do I want to blow the fire out the chimmney.
Thanks

NYS,
There are some pictures on our web site of the blower on our 3 x 10. I used a 550 CFM Dayton blower from Grainger, a 2 speed switch for high and low and put a damper in the square tube between the blower and the ash pit. You might need a 350-400 cfm (Guess)?

NYScott,
Look under "Evaporators" and in thread "Forced air again".
The formula for cfm is calculated on stack diameter not arch size.

Especially Justin for the nice drawings included with the reciept for the stack. I am pouring the concrete tomorrow after work for the floor. Hopefully the arch will be in it's final resting place by this w/e. The roof is already up. Then I can start plumbing. Thanks again everyone for the support
